Our friends at the Snake Valley & District Historical Society sent us the below information link on an amazing woman born here in Linton who dedicated her life to so many. Dr Vera Scantlebury Brown was one of the first female doctors to complete medical training in Melbourne. Her work as a surgeon in a British military hospital and dedication to her improving the lives of others on her return back to Australia is truly inspiring.
